How to Install Trevilla Theme on Ubuntu – Easy way

The popular Trevilla theme looks like Windows Metro Style. This theme comes with eye-catching variants like Trevilla Dark, Trevilla White, Trevilla White Orange, Trevilla White Blue, and supports GTK 3 theme engine. Trevilla theme and icons are supported on almost all Ubuntu versions, Linux Mint, and other Ubuntu-based distros out there.

Trevilla icons are designed very beautifully and mix well with the Trevilla theme. Trevilla icons can also be used with other themes and give a beautiful look to your desktop.

In this article, you’ll learn how to install Trevilla theme and icons on Ubuntu and Ubuntu distros.

First of all open terminal using Ctrl+Alt+t and update software of the system.

sudo apt update

Now, to install Trevilla icons on your Ubuntu system, run the following commands in the terminal:

Add repository and then install the Trevilla icons.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons


sudo apt update


sudo apt install trevilla-icons

Install Trevilla theme in Ubuntu using terminal:

To install the Trevilla theme, run the following commands in the terminal:

Add repository and then install the theme.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes


sudo apt update


sudo apt install trevilla-themes

That’s it. Trevilla icons and theme has been installed in your Ubuntu system and now you need to switch to the new theme.

To change theme after applying or checking one of these theme, use this revert back command first.

To use Trevilla-Chrome theme:

cd /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/ && sudo mv softwarecenter.css softwarecenter.css.backup


cd && wget -O softwarecenter.css http://drive.noobslab.com/data/themes/trevilla-software-center/chrome/softwarecenter.css


sudo mv softwarecenter.css /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/

To use Trevilla-Dark theme:

cd /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/ && sudo mv softwarecenter.css softwarecenter.css.backup


cd && wget -O softwarecenter.css http://drive.noobslab.com/data/themes/trevilla-software-center/dark/softwarecenter.css


sudo mv softwarecenter.css /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/

To use Trevilla-Gray theme:

cd /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/ && sudo mv softwarecenter.css softwarecenter.css.backup


cd && wget -O softwarecenter.css http://drive.noobslab.com/data/themes/trevilla-software-center/gray/softwarecenter.css


sudo mv softwarecenter.css /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/

To use Trevilla-White theme:

cd /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/ && sudo mv softwarecenter.css softwarecenter.css.backup


cd && wget -O softwarecenter.css http://drive.noobslab.com/data/themes/trevilla-software-center/white/softwarecenter.css


sudo mv softwarecenter.css /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/

The revert back command: Run the following command in the terminal to revert back to the theme.

cd /usr/share/software-center/ui/gtk3/css/ && sudo mv softwarecenter.css.backup softwarecenter.css
